Starfucker announces new album, ‘Reptilians’

by on January 6, 2011

It feels good to kick off 2011 with some big news from a local fav… and electro-pop darlings Starfucker have delivered. The news isn’t just the big kind, it’s…

Good News: The newly rebooted “STRFKR” has announced an upcoming full-length: Reptilians.

Even Better News: The band has leaked us a track, the morbidly titled “Bury Us Alive” (streaming below). You can peep the new sounds early… which is a relief, since the album itself won’t be (physically) released until March 8th (via new label Polyvinyl), and we’re all much to accustomed to our internet-sized attention spans. But wait–just a few more seconds of said attention please! We haven’t gotten to… (drumroll?)…

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

Possibly The Best News Yet: The band sounds as spry and fetching as the day I first heard “Rawnald Gregory Erickson the Second.” Take a listen for yourself! Might as well head over and pre-order yourself a copy now.

Plus there’s more for your internet-sized attention spans: If you pre-order now, you’ll receive “an instant mp3 download for the entire album at check out.” OMG!

And since I just can’t bring myself to use a pseudo-word like “bestest,” we’ll call this last item a “bonus.”

The tracklist:

1. Born
2. Julius
3. Bury Us Alive
4. Mystery Cloud
5. Death As A Fetish
6. Astoria
7. Reptilians
8. The White Of Noon
9. Hungry Ghost
10. Mona Vegas
11. Millions
12. Quality Time
