By Brent Angelo

The Minus 5 with Special Guests : A Birthday Celebration for Neil Young

Scott the Hoople aka Scott McCaughey (The Young Fresh Fellows, The Minus 5) just hosted a sold-out show at Mississippi Studios to celebrate Neil Young’s birthday and to celebrate the release of his album, Neil (Vol. 2): Welcome To My Dream World. The Minus 5 show included Scott, Peter Buck (R.E.M.), Debbi Peterson (The Bangles), Chris Slusarenko (Eyelids), Steve Barton (Translator), Casey Neill (Casey Neill & The Norway Rats), Jenny Conlee-Drizos (The Decemberists), Jim Talstra and Paul Pulvirenti (Eyelids). There was also a surprise guest that included Alejandro Escovedo (the Nuns, True Believers).

What a fun and joyous event. There were tons of talent on that stage all coming together for the love and respect of Neil Young's music.
