The 2010 Alaska Airlines Portland Jazz Festival is focusing the spotlight (a bright shining Nordic light, as it were) on the work of a handful of Norwegian Jazz musicians.
Replaced at the 4pm by a panel with David Friesen, Sam Howard and Don Lucoff.
She sizzled at the Hilton with Larry Koonce on guitar and David Piltch on bass.

Of all the bands in this year’s Portland Jazz Festival, none is more soul satisfying than the Mingus Big Band which performs Friday, February 26, 7:30pm at the Portland Center for the Performing Arts’ Newmark Theatre.
He performs on Saturday, February 27, 7:30 at the Newmark Theater.
