You know that favorite pair of jeans you own – the ones that are a little ratty but sooooo comfortable? If they were a live music venue, they would be the LaurelThirst. This neighborhood watering hole is unpretentious and welcoming, and a home away from home for some of Portland’s most venerable musicians such as Pete Krebs and Lewi Longmire. Trendy it’s not — but that’s an incalculable part of its charm.–bm
